MARY ROSE MUSEUM

CLIENT

The Mary Rose Museum is a historical museum located at Historic Dockyards in Portsmouth run by the Mary Rose Trust.  The main attraction is the Mary Rose – Henry VIII’s warship, lost in 1545, recovered in 1982 and now on display in the museums purpose built dedicated ship hall.

BRIEF

Working with the Trusts marketing agency PCM, we were briefed to conceive and develop a new TVC promoting the museum and the Mary Rose to audiences across the UK.

SOLUTION

Cinova created the concept of historical animated shadows mirroring present day visitors highlighting the immersive experience people receive at the museum.  The commercial was filmed over two nights whilst the venue was closed.  Over a four week post-production schedule the VFX were completed to give the commercial its unique historical animated shadows.
